Dryland Ski Conditioning

At Taos Pueblo Community Center - This two-hour session breaks down into four targeted segments:

  • Dynamic Warm-Up & Mobility (20 mins): Full-body mobility work focusing on hips, ankles, and spine, paired with dynamic movements to activate key muscle groups and elevate heart rates safely.

  • Ski-Specific Strength & Core Stability (45 mins): Lower-body power and endurance training—including squats, lateral lunges, wall sits, and single-leg stability exercises—paired with anti-rotational core work to mimic on-snow loading.

  • Agility, Balance & Footwork (35 mins): Fast-twitch ladder drills, dot drills, cone courses, and balance-board progressions designed to sharpen edge-to-edge transition speed, spatial awareness, and dynamic balance.

  • Cardio Intervals, Cool-Down & Flexibility (20 mins): Short bursts of high-intensity cardio to replicate the demands of a full run, followed by guided static stretching and foam rolling to accelerate recovery.

Athletes should arrive in supportive running or training shoes, comfortable athletic layers suited for indoor/outdoor movement, and bring a labeled water bottle.
